I'm Warren, a creative, entrepreneur, and coach based in Bali. If you've ever felt like the standard path was never quite built for you, chances are we're cut from the same cloth.
From a young age, I knew a 9-to-5 wasn't for me. I've always been pulled in a dozen directions at once: fashion, beauty, photography, the arts, travel. (If you're a creative, you know how that goes.)
The chair was never really about hair.
That curiosity took me to cosmetology school and then years of work as a hairstylist for high-profile clients. Here's the thing about that chair: your stylist becomes your unofficial therapist. I loved it, not the hair so much as the listening, the helping, the watching people work through what was really on their minds. While building that career, I attended college, founded a modeling organization, and graduated with honors with a degree in philosophy and religious studies.
So I quit.
Like a lot of creatives, I spent years searching for the "right" career. Chasing stability, I tried a few corporate roles before landing in tech sales, and I was good at it. Top performer every quarter, a manager who trusted me, raises and bonuses, the direct deposit landing like clockwork. By every external measure, I'd made it.
People were stunned. But the truth was simple: I was pouring my best energy into building someone else's dream.
